Personally:
Amisha Patel is a Bollywood actress born on June 9th 1975. Though she was born in Mumbai, her family hails from Sarsa-anand, Gujarat, India. She has a brother Ashmit Patel who is also an actor in Bollywood but unfortunately has not been able to create even half an impact that her sister has done. She has starred in two of the major hits of Bollywood Kaho na pyaar Hain and one of the biggest hits ever in Indian film Industry-Gadar Ek Prem Katha.
Amisha did her college from Tufts University, Massachusetts. She also did modelling and during those days, she used to date Wan Lee, a famous oil tycoon. She is a gold medallist in Economics from the University of Boston.
Amisha then began to act in some plays after joining the Satyadev Dubey's theatre group. A prestigious film offer landed on her abundant lap when she was asked by director Rakesh Roshan to star in Kaho na...Pyaar Hai. Rakesh Roshan initially wanted to do the film with Kareena Kapoor but she declined it. Then the role went to Amisha who accepted the movie.
Amisha is reportedly not on speaking terms with her parents because of monetary reasons. She has alleged that her parents would never give her money that she had earned.
Professionally: Though the initial part of her career went great guns with movies like Kaho na pyaar hain, Gadar-Ek Prem Katha and Humraaz, she suffered career setbacks thanks to some really bad films. Some of her flops are Kranti, Kya Yehi Pyar Hai, Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lagey , Jalwa, Suno Sasoorjee, Zameer, Parvana, Vaada, Elaan, Aap ki Khaatir etc. She was nominated for Filmfare best actress award for Gadar and bagged the Film Fare special performance award for the same film. Her last film Honeymoon Travels was barely a commission earner. She does not have much films in her hand, with a future release being Happy Birthday directed by Sushma Patel.

Favourite recipes: Home food. She also loves Thai cuisine. She finds pani puris irresistible. Amisha loves pani puris at Elco Pani puri Market, Mumbai. Though she has confessed that pani puris give her loose motions, she cant stop that from gorging on pani puris.

Amisha hates:
Hypocrisy, backbiting. She also detests bad breath and people who fart in public.
Men drool at her voluptuousness. Amisha seems to have the right curves at the right places. She is naturally endowed and men love her this way. Amisha's womanly figure has attracted a lot of men who rate her high on the sexometer.
